Spring 2012 Internship
Description:
Active full service curatorial firm in New York City is seeking an intern for Spring 2012. The internship is flexible 12-15 hours a week. Intern will work on a large scale collection management project including hands-on cataloguing art market research, managing a database of over 2,000 modern, postwar and contemporary art works from top private collections and general administrative support with the library and client database management. S/he will gain exposure to the practicalities of the art world, including determining value, cataloguing standards, and how a private firm works.
Qualifications:
Current college or graduate student with a strong focus and interest in fine art or visual culture studies. Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, computer savvy, self-motivated and able to work independently. Excellent communication and organizational skills necessary.
