Korff Enterprises is looking to fill various high responsibility positions for both the New York City Triathlon and the Ironman US Championship. Applicants must include a resume, cover letter and answers to required questions (below).

All opportunities listed are paid full-time positions. The New York City Triathlon will take place on July 8, 2012 and the Ironman US Championship will take place on August 11, 2012. All interns must be available to work May through August, including some weekends. All candidates will be interview by the end of March, 2012 with the final employment decisions made by April 2, 2012.

All applicants must work well under pressure, be motivated and enthusiastic about events. All applicants must have a driver’s license, be willing to drive a 16’ box truck and work VERY long hours and weekends. Interns are essential to the success of the event and must be willing to do any task asked of them regardless of which position officially assigned.

Please note, that although specific duties are listed, there is crossover in job responsibilities.

Expo Assistant
• Help organize, arrange and produce the Health and Fitness Expo which takes place in conjunction with the NYC Triathlon and Ironman US Championship.
• Will work directly with all major sponsors and vendors.
Qualifications: Must be extremely organized, detail oriented with strong communications skills.

Public Relations Assistant
• Proactively seek out stories from registered athletes by calling EVERY participant in both races.
• Help create organize and execute media events in conjunction with the Triathlon such as the Underwear Run and Doggy Dash.
• Work in conjunction with the Triathlon’s PR agency to follow up on stories, leads and placements
• Assist with event production, marketing and sponsorship fulfillment
Qualifications: Must enjoy talking on the phone, have strong communication and organizational skills.

Event Production
• Assist event director in organizing and activating sponsorship fulfillment and coordinating production staff.
• Assist in all production orders, placement and organization. Must be extremely detail oriented and have VERY strong follow through skills.
Qualifications: Must be organized and detail oriented. Must be willing do participate in physical set-up of the race, drive a truck and be very flexible and willing to do whatever task is required.

Volunteer Assistant
• Assist volunteer director in placing, managing and directing nearly 1,000 volunteers.
• This position is responsible for all ordering, categorizing and distributing of supplies, volunteer manuals and set-up of volunteer stations.
Qualifications: Must be organized and detail oriented. Strong communication skills are a must.
