Description:

Adirée (the parent company and producer of Africa Fashion Week NY) is currently looking for interns. Upon interview, youll be given a list of positions to select from. Please note that the position offers a bi-weekly stipend.

Qualifications:

Must have your own laptop (pc and/or mac)
- Wordpress Developer *(definitely plus as this will qualify you for a stipend)
- Immaculate Writer (Press Releases, Articles, Blog Posts, Tweets, etc)
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign)
- Proven ability to execute from concept to completion
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and quick-changing work environment
- Team player with a passion for design, positive attitude, and an entrepreneurial spirit

- Attending events and or meetings on behalf of Adiree (with or without supervision)
- Assisting with the preparations of shows and special events
- Updating and maintaining contact lists, credits and spreadsheets
- Assisting in outreach to clients as well as research for target accounts
- Drafting public relations materials including news releases, media alerts, fact sheets, status reports and other materials as directed
- Creating Databases of data, clients, etc
- Making Phone Calls to potential clients, vendor lists, stock lists, etc
- Sourcing Speaking Opportunities for Adiree
- Assisting with distribution of media alerts, press releases, and email blasts for blogs, consumer editors, and newspapers
- Creating marketing materials using Adobe Programs (InDesign, Photoshop...)
- Attending and participating in client meetings, events, and shows for networking purposes

You will be working from home and our home office and we expect a minimum of 16 hours a week during our business hours (11am-7pm).
