The Public Affairs department is looking for a creative, hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a summer intern. The intern will work very closely with the in-house public affairs team to promote the company through interviews with prominent media outlets, television appearances, press releases and targeted pitches, and will also help with government affairs efforts.

The intern will receive valuable hands-on experience to develop their PR skills and will be considered as part of the team. Writing skills, creativity and communication skills will be developed, and the intern will also get a feel for what it’s like to work at a technology-based financial services startup. The intern will be part of all day-to-day activities as well as all-around office activities as well. The intern will hone writing and communication skills while learning how to develop targeted media lists, draft pitches, track media placements, and will develop research and creativity skills.

Responsibilities include:
- Media monitoring for client coverage and industry trends
- Complete various projects
- Maintain and develop media lists
- Research, research, research
- Work with media monitoring and analytics tools
- Develop social media skills by using Facebook, Twitter, etc
- Attend internal meetings, take notes

Qualifications:

Qualifications/Skills:
- Must be currently attending college (sophomore or above)
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- The ability to multi-task
- Attention to detail
- Problem-solver
- Self-starter
- Creative
- Microsoft Word, Excel skills
- Not required to have public relations experience
- Previous internship experience preferred
