SecondMarket’s legal and compliance team is looking for a motivated, team oriented, and driven individual to join their team as a summer intern!

Responsibilities:
- Assisting attorneys on projects in various legal areas, including, securities law, corporate law, contract law, and intellectual property law
- Working collaboratively with the legal team and all markets to improve upon communication and procedure amongst the various departments
- Under guidance of attorneys, drafting certain documentation related to secondary trading of assets
- Performing administrative and organizational tasks at the direction of attorneys
- Generally assisting the legal team in various capacities as needed

Qualifications:

Qualifications/Skills:
- Completed second year of law school
- Strong academic record required
- Completed at least 2 semesters of securities and/or corporate law classes
- Outstanding legal research and writing skills
- Prior internship with the SEC, FINRA, or other securities regulatory agency preferred
- Proven interest in the financial services industry a plus
- Candidate will be team-oriented, results driven and willing to pitch in wherever needed
