Summer 2012 Internship
Description:
Active full service curatorial firm in New York City is seeking an intern for Summer 2012. The internship is flexible at 12-15 hours a week.Intern will assist in:
- Researching art works for collections
- Social media initiatives (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- Collection and client file management
S/he will gain exposure to the practicalities of the art world, including determining value, cataloguing standards, and how a private firm works.
Course credit for internship possible. Internship to start mid-May and will ideally run until end of August 2012.
Qualifications:
Current college or graduate student with a strong focus and interest in fine art or visual culture studies. Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, computer savvy, self-motivated and able to work independently. Excellent communication and organizational skills necessary.
