About the Position:
The BTNY Communications Internship will provide a hands-on, portfolio building experience that will prove useful in securing a permanent job.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Intern’s primary focus will be to produce content for all BTNY media including:
• Conducting interviews for stories and content
• Writing newsletter (print and e-newsletter) articles
• Taking photographs to accompany articles and expand our library of stock photos.
• Providing content for the website and social media
• Maintaining web pages and social media accounts
• Assisting with public relations, correspondence, and general office tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Desired Qualifications and Abilities
• Currently enrolled college student or recent college graduate with communications, journalism, English major, or related fields
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Willingness to take initiative and motivation to seek new learning opportunities
• Keen attention to detail and follow-up
• Ability to meet deadlines, follow directions and to report regularly to the Director of Development and Communications about projects
• Desktop publishing, Photoshop, HTML, and related computer skills
• Public relations experience or abilities
• Professionalism

None but will help with college credit.

Payment:
This is an unpaid position, and no stipend is offered. BTNY does not pay transportation or housing costs. However, we can work with your school if you are interested in pursuing course credit through this internship.
