Internship Position - Manager to Television Personality
Description:
The business manager of a television personality and online retail store owner is looking for an administrative intern to assist with day-to-day duties, including public relation, event planning and online advertising. Must live in New York City and be available 3-4 hours a day at least 2-3 days per week. Upon completion of internship will receive references from both the business manager and television personality.Essential Qualities:
- Positive work ethic and ability to exercise mature judgment
- Ability to work independently as a motivated team player
- Preference for a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Ability to think analytically, set priorities and meet deadlines
PR/Events Intern Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning events
- Help in promotion, media outreach, gathering sponsorship
- Help in booking media appointments
- Assist with maintaining online retail inventory
- Maintain calendar
- Help to develop and maintain marketing materials
- Assist with creating and executing PR campaigns
Note: Must have outstanding written and oral communication skills
Digital/Strategic Responsibilities:
- Research potential digital advertisers
- Initiate contact through cold calls with advertising prospects
- Manage communications with the customer and negotiate deals.
- Maintain accounts and deliver superior customer service for client.
- Assess and compete successfully against the competition
- Good negotiation skills
- Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Neutral or pleasant accent, with a courteous manner
- Solid understanding of online advertising and marketing, including pricing structures.
- Able to communicate with the office via conference call
