Our start-up arts and fashion company is looking for an intern to fill the position of a Public Relations Specialist - we are looking for an exceptional individual to fill a PR & Marketing internship as soon as possible

1804 Sig.na.ture is a grassroots company developed to resuscitate and expose the talent of Haitian artists who have a passion for art, and a passion for people. At 1804 Sig.na.ture, our vision is to exhibit art through apparel, accessories, and events. Our exclusive items are made in Haiti and hand-painted by our esteemed Haitian Artists. Each item has a custom-made identity.

RESPONSIBLITIES
• Set up a media list and create a database of fashion press contacts, follow up with them, obtaining press coverage and answering press inquiries
• Along with the President of the company, develop a marketing plan and branding strategy
• Assist in the getting press at 1st art show event in June
• Develop a Social Media Strategy – increase Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest followers; expand our social networking community etc.
• Willing to deal with the unexpected – as a startup, there are always exciting surprises; the intern must be able to adapt to change

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS
• Enthusiastic, outgoing, intelligent and ambitious person with an excellent eye for detail who works well independently and collaboratively
Strong research and writing skills, good at communication, good management and very organized
• Able and willing to work from home
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent writing skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of social medias
• An interest in arts and fashion
• Excellent in Internet research
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Outgoing, friendly and social
