Description:

We are looking for an intern to assist with our day-to-day social media, editorial, advertising and administrative endeavors.

Intern Duties:
• Assist founders with fact checking for articles
• Assist founders with developing interview candidate lists
• Gather weekly news clips of NYC female professionals and entrepreneurs
• Research female related hot topics on entertainers, athletes, politicians, musicians, bloggers, artist, etc.
• Write blog post
• Gather pictures for blog post
• Update social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Hootsuite, Tumblr, LinkedIn, etc)
• Develop NYC venue database
• Create Plan of Actions and Budgets for events
• Source venue’s, vendor and supplies for events

Qualifications:

-Must be available virtually, 3 days a week for a minimum of 3 hours each day. M/W/F
-Must know social media, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Hootsuite, Tumblr, etc.
-Must be a keen internet researcher.
-Must be good a developing media charts and contact list.
-Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
-Must be comfortable with cold calling.
-Good grasp on trends and whos who
-Ability to work independently
-Passion for building community and teams
-Sophomore or junior in college studying Journalism, English, Communications, -Public Relations and/or Marketing
-Hardworking, responsible, dependable, creative
-Strong communication and writing skills
-Ability to work independently.
-Extreme attention to detail and ability to follow directions
-Ability to work fast and accurate

Additional Info:

Though this is a virtual internship, all HMM interns are required to send daily recap reports and participate in weekly conference calls.

Interns will leave with knowledge of online media and several published clips.
