REPORTS TO: Assistant for Development and Mission
Nazareth Housing, a nonprofit provider of low income housing, emergency shelter and homelessness prevention services seeks a hard working, self-starting intern for Summer 2012 to assist our Development and Mission Office. Due to the nature of our small office environment, the intern will work directly with members of the administrative team on substantive projects geared toward supporting strategic planning, messaging development and social media.
The intern will provide research and analysis in support of current and ongoing strategic planning initiative and media message planning. Research may include market data on real estate and affordable housing; market survey to identify gaps in services ; best messaging techniques; draft text for website and communications/publications. Intern will make recommendations for social media conduits and assist in the implementation of approved recommendations. The intern will be responsible for working with the administrative team to maintain our office operations; including; coordinating materials for printing and dissemination and other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Strong attention to detail
•Knowledge of internet research sources, including media search engines
•Ability to take initiative, multi-task, work quickly and be flexible
•Knowledge of or interest in real estate, financing and messaging
•Interest in applying business and market concepts in nonprofit setting
•Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
•Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communications skills
•Openness to constructive criticism
•Capacity to work independently and as part of a team

Stipend; $400 paid bi weekly ($1600 total)
