Schoolit seeks videographer interns to work with our team to create informational and how to videos. Videographer interns will assume responsibility for creating three short videos intended to be shared on our website and social media sites:1) What is Schoolit
2) How to Schoolit
3) How to FundraiseSchoolit staff will provide online tours and functionality tutorials of the Schoolit platform as well as assist in editing scripts that interns create. Should the videos require less time than expected, interns may be invited to help create several other Schoolit videos, both in-house and out-of-house. Interns will be responsible for writing, storyboarding, directing, filming, and editing entire video projects, and must also own and operate video equipment and editing software.

- Re-shooting when neededThe Schoolit videographer internship offers the opportunity to gain real world experience working on and leading projects from concept to completion. Videographer interns will be creative, go-getting, time managing, team players who are excited to build and complete projects on behalf of supporting schools. Our internship program is available to current students and graduates from all majors. This is an unpaid summer internship, but meals and travel will be reimbursed.

Schoolit is an online, fundraising platform that provides free, Fundraising Tools for Schools. Schoolit is the first fundraising platform that donates 100% of its proceeds back to schools and school programs, supplying each participating school with its own fundraising microsite and customized fundraising tools.Schoolit was created by PTA parents of PS 11 and PS 41 in Manhattan to provide a central location to raise funds online, and to also improve communication between schools and parents. After Schoolits launch in June 2011, Schoolit expanded its fundraising program in May 2012 to include over 135,000 public and private schools in the United States. Schoolit also recently incorporated non-profits focused on education into its fundraising program.
Schoolit is built to distribute Software as a Service (Saas). Each school in Schoolit’s system has a school microsite and account that they can use to individually manage their fundraising campaigns. Schoolit’s platform represents a turn-key solution for schools by utilizing a system where local schools are supported by local spending. Schools can fundraise using Schoolit’s website and iPhone application.
