Marketing Intern - Virtual Awareness

The Adoption & Retention Marketing Team at BT Conferencing is responsible for on-boarding new customers and maximizing service usage. We are looking for a motivated, creative, personable, and fast-learning intern to support video conferencing adoption.

Background:
BT Conferencing houses two CEC (Customer Experience Centers) in the US that showcase video technology and TelePresence rooms. The primary role of the intern is to assist sales and customers with virtual trainings/ awareness programs, driving rapid adoption of video conferencing equipment and services purchased from BT. Using the CEC’s video technology, the intern will provide virtual training to familiarize users with their own video rooms and services purchased from BT, and get them comfortable with how to use them.

BT’s goal in creating these types of introductions is to help customers achieve ROI on their equipment, decrease travel, and increase BT’s revenue through rapid adoption and end user education. Another goal for BT is to generate a demand for more systems and services in each location, maximizing revenue potential from our customers.


Responsibilities of the position will include:

• Customer contact
• Scheduling virtual training
• Presenting the training via video
• Ordering and shipping promotional items for clients – onsite awareness
• Assisting CEC staff with onsite events
o Event planning and preparation
o Event support
o Assisting CEC Center Manager with customer follow up

• Provide miscellaneous/ad-hoc support to the CEC staff:
o copy-writing
o spreadsheet management
o Learning Engage
o Scheduling Meetings in Engage
o Provide background marketing support for CEC strategies and capabilities
o Networking with BT Conferencing account managers and sales teams
o Using Propensity data to identify potential Showcase campaigns
In addition to supporting the goals and responsibilities of the Adoption & Retention Team, the Marketing Intern will be exposed to our in-house creative design group, product specialists, and various global departments and partners.

This is an unpaid internship; however, course credit is available based on the requirements of individual schools and universities.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have completed at least two years towards a bachelor’s degree, and be interested in pursuing a career in one of the following fields: marketing, advertising, sales, education, telecommunications, or conferencing/collaboration.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task are very important, and a positive attitude and team spirit are musts.

Must be a “quick study,” like technology, and be comfortable with the following programs:
-Microsoft Word
-Microsoft Excel
-Microsoft PowerPoint
-Microsoft Outlook
-Internet browsers and applications
