Why? Because unlike any other site out there, it celebrates our love for NY while also promoting the work and passions that we do here.

Heres the scoop:
Whenever you encounter a moment - big or small - that makes you think, I love this city, snap a photo and send it to TIWILNY@gmail.com. Include your name and a link to any site or project you want to promote. As founder of the website, Ill check it out and consider it for publication on thisiswhyiloveny.com.

Within that same day or the next, the photo will be published and appear on the site, credited with your name linked to your website, and you can then share your creation - that photo - with all of your friends and family via Twitter/FB/Tumblr, LinkedIn - you name it!

Note: these photos do NOT need to be flashy photos taken with a high-tech camera. In fact, Id prefer if they arent - so no stylized, Instagram-ed photos. This site captures real moments, with real photos. Real New York.

This site is a way of appreciating the little things we encounter everyday, while staying present and positive in this incredible city. We are so lucky to be here.
