Description:

genConnect.com seeks Digital Journalist Intern who will be responsible for creating and editing online content � articles, videos and social media. Responsibilities will include: writing articles on deadline, creating compelling and Search Engine Optimized headlines and copy for videos, promoting content on social networks, and copy editing pre-written content. Digital Journalist Intern needs to be open to providing weekend support for when staff covers events such as Sundance Film Festival, SXSW Interactive Conference and Aspen Food & Wine Classic.

***Internship is a work-from-home, remote position for college credit. Hours range from 15 to 40 hours weekly, dependant on candidate availability.

Qualifications:

Needed skills include: journalism background, interest & proficiency in social media tools, general knowledge of SEO, ability to work well remotely with genConnect staff, knowledge of - or capacity to learn - photo & video editing tools, & ability to work under deadline.
