We are a young fast growing company, with tech and business departments in across several cities and 3 continents. Join our team and you will get to work and network with professionals across the US, Australia and Europe. There is no central office - and the bulk of our creative process happens in virtual collaborative environments. What this means for you is that we don’t use our interns to make copies and file papers - if we hire you, you will be doing and gaining experience in what you signed up to do.

While this means that you can intern with us from anywhere in the US (we also have a program for international interns), you have to be able to do work on your own. You can work from your home or dorm room, and we believe in flexible hours – you will be ranked on the projects you complete, and the ideas you generate, and not the hours you log in. In the startup world – there are no time sheets: there are only the things to get done, and the people that are willing to do them. This is not an internship for people who aren’t fired up. This program requires participants to be independently motivated, highly organized, be willing to learn from and take critical feedback from their teammates, as well as be able to work with multiple partners in a virtual space.

- Have a working knowledge of Google docs, Skype, G-chat, and standard social networking platforms.
- Should be available 2-3 days a week
- Must be deadline oriented, detailed, take direction well and be thorough

Qualifications:

- Take an active part in managing and expanding KrowdByz social presence, research new social media platforms and communities, be a participant explorer in new online spaces
- Work with the Marketing team to design and launch social media marketing campaigns, brand awareness strategies and work to understand and connect with communities of users (as well as markets outside the US).
- Write blog posts and status updates (If you got a writing spark) about developments in the freelancing community, crowdsourcing trends, online services marketplaces, and our product.
- Assist our Design, BizDev, Public Relations and International teams on their social media projects.
- Provide some examples of your experience with social media. Ex: links to blogs, websites you manage, social media profiles, Klout score, etc.

International Markets team: Knowledge of a foreign language is a minimal requirement. Hindi, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Thai, Arabic, Japanese, Spanish, German, French, Russian etc are all in demand. These are all markets of either freelancers or consumers, and you will get to create social media campaigns to globalise our product. (know only English, no problem, ask if you could work with the Canada/UK/Australia markets.)

Want this internship to really count with future employers? Show us your worth and move up to our senior intern levels to manage others, do independent projects and work closely with core KrowdByz personnel. There is no automatic seniority - only talent and creativity. Interns will be invited to propose new projects, identify problems, explore new markets - and you can lead the team to deal with it.
