Event Planner/ Marketing/ Business Development

We are looking for a few individuals who have what it takes to host our Weekenddating.com speed dating and singles events.Are you ready to be a star in your community and start spreading the love and make a few bucks as well? Let’s just review a few of the basics:
What you need:
• High Speed Internet Access (that means no dial up)
• Microsoft Word and Excel
• A printer (preferably a laser, but an ink jet will also do)
• Your own car and a valid driver’s license/insurance
• Your own cell phone
• A credit cardHow much money can you make?/ How am I paid?
That all depends on you. You would earn a percentage of the gross sales and be eligible for a quarterly bonus if certain thresholds are met. The better the events do, the more you make! You would be an independent contractor, paid on a 1099 basis. On average, you can earn $100-$400 per event before expenses.
Time Commitment/Responsibilities
• Since events are only held on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday’s, you need to have some availability on those days. We are looking for someone who has enough time to host a minimum of two events per month.• Hosting the events is actually the easy part. Part of your other responsibilities would be answering and returning phone calls/emails from interested individuals. You would also spend time:
o Securing a venue
o Preparing for the event- Generate and print materials needed for the event.
o Sending results of matches to participants within 24 hours of the event.• Marketing will be a critical part of your responsibilities if you want to earn additional compensation. You can:
o Grow and Maintain your own Meetup group. (we will help you)
o Grow and Maintain your own Facebook fan page. (we will help you)You can also market the events by
o leaving cards and flyers with local businesses
o attending trade shows
o Social Media- Linked in, Myspace,
o Word of Mouth- Tell Friends/Family/Acquaintances
o Business Cards- You can make up business cards with your discount code on them. We will pay for 50% of your first business card order.
o Absolutely no spamming is permitted.How will Weekenddating.com support me in this venture?
• Training- Full training via phone and email would be provided to successful candidates. We would walk you through all of the steps to make this a success.
• Website- All of your events would be hosted and maintained on the Weekenddating.com website.
• Mailing List- We would build and maintain an email list of potential attendees for your territory.
• Newsletter- We would build and send an email newsletter a minimum of one time per week to help promote the events.
• Software- We would provide you with software necessary to prepare materials for the events and to send participants their matches afterwards.
• Telephone number- We would pay for a dedicated voice mail local number. You would have the option of providing your cell phone number on the voice mail.
What are my expenses?
You will have minimal expenses (e.g nametags, pens, paper, printing). Additionally you would be responsible for paying 50% of the cost of a start up kit (letter holders, stopwatch, portable address system, business cards, dedicated phone number). This comes out to about $125.
Background Check
A full background check including searches of driver records (looking for DWI’s etc), criminal records, credit report, civil litigation, rent/prior employer references and others searches would be conducted. You would also be required to sign a non-compete agreement.
Qualifications:
The type of person we want
• Someone who is self motivated and is looking to take ownership of a small territory.
• Presentable. You need to have a good sense of style and make a nice appearance.
• Personable. People are nervous when coming to a singles event and part of your responsibilities would be to make them feel welcome.
• Someone who is able to think on their feet and think outside the box when necessary. When you deal with the public, you never know what can happen.
• Must be computer savy and a self starter.
• Financially Responsible- To qualify, all organizers must have a credit card. This provides us with an additional check to ensure the organizer is financially responsible.
• Organized and pays meticulous attention to details.
• Social Marketing savy- Be active on Facebook and other social media outlets
to help promote the events.
