Brooklyn Artistry & Company is looking for a creative, innovative, and driven intern to assist with the mangment of its budding company.

The Media & Design Intern will be an integral part of the Public Relations Department and work closly with the Creative Director to:

Monitor, analyze and post on blogs, forums, and social networks
Conduct online outreach and promotion using Facebook, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Twitter, and more
Have strong input on upcoming designs of the company
Manage, and participate on the forefront of developing major events
Work as a valued member of the team in promoting local artists and artwork
Take initiative to assist in the branding and promotion of Brooklyn Artistry

The intern will work at least 15 - 20 hours per week during the 6 month time period of the internship, for a minimum of 400 hours.
Those hours may be worked in any combination at the discretion of the intern and the supervisor.

*All Applicants must be residing in the NYC Metro Area. Majority of meetings, events, and office work will be done in Brooklyn, NY*

Qualifications:

The intern must be organized, detail-oriented, possess strong visionary and coordinating skills.
The intern will mostly work off-site but with his/her assigned supervisor.

Working Knowledge of Social Media Outlets such as Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, Instagram
Basic Photoshop and Illustrator Skills; InDesign a plus
Advanced Working Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Experience in events and planning a plus but not required
Positive, innovative attitude and problem solver
Works equally as well in team setting as well as independetly

The intern is considered an integral part of the Public Relations Department and as such, their ideas and input will be valued.

This internship is geared towards currently matriculated college students, however those who feel they are eligble may apply as long as potential applicant is 18 years or older.

Payment will be the items produced that the intern can put into their portfolio, as well as real-world work experience.
In addition, the intern will receive free tickets to all events during their internship, as well any Company Membership benefit.
