Description:

The goal of the merchandising intern is to understand the merchandising process by assisting the Product Manager and the Assistant Product Manager in all phases of product selection and development supports for both catalog and web.

Responsibilities:
• The intern will be responsible for following up with vendors on samples and prices
• Preparing photo samples for photo shoots
• Building items in the Redcats USA inventory system
• Assisting APM to prepare store-bought merchandise for Turnover and Merchandising hang tags for Merchandise Review.
• Creating binders and filing system for current and new merchandising seasons
• Organization and upkeep of sample showroom

Qualifications:

• Energetic, Motivated, Dedicated, Reliable, Knowledgeable of Fashion Merchandising, Takes Direction Easily, Willingness and Eagerness to Learn and Accept Responsibility, Team Player
• Buying or merchandising major preferred
• Strong analytical skills
• Knowledge in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Lotus Notes
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be available to work 40/hrs a week during the Spring semester
