Description:

We are looking for a Program Communications Intern to help in New York City. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. We add venture capital to create jobs in developing countries, providing people with the tools, training and resources needed to earn income while serving their communities with better health care, food, water and a cleaner environment.

Were transitioning to a new system where donors who sponsor job training can follow the progress of the each individual entrepreneur empowered by their support through periodic updates and an interactive online platform. This is a great opportunity for those who want to gain experience in the areas of professional communications, database management.

This is a great opportunity to be on the ground floor of a fast-paced, growing nonprofit organization. You will report to the Project Manager. Our office is in Beespace, a co-working space for innovative start-up non-profits, so you will also be constantly learning about other inspiring ideas and interacting with a wonderful community of change-makers. Because of the nature of this position and its importance within our organization, you must be highly organized, flexible and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

General Responsibilities:
Archive and organize photos of entrepreneurs from the field
Write photo captions to share via social media and other online platforms
Collect, organize and store information about our entrepreneurs sponsored in developing countries
Match each of our donors with the entrepreneur theyre sponsoring in a developing country
Assist with sending field reports from our partner organizations to our donors
Flag profiles and photos to share via social media and email
Build on our communications calendar
Write press releases
Proofread communications materials
Expand our online presence on social media

Have a great attitude and are flexible
Would love to work in a start-up environment
Could spend all day on social media if you were allowed
Design and coding skills are a plus!
