Are you a designer interested in gaining experience while working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment? The Adventure Project is hiring a design intern to be based in New York City.

About The Adventure Project:

We “add venture capital to create jobs in developing countries, providing people with the tools, training and resources needed to earn income while serving their communities.

We’re storytellers. Design and branding are essential to our organization’s ability to communicate our mission and mobilize support.

Where: W. 30th St. NYC

Commitment: Part-time flexible (Approx. 15 hours per week)

General Responsibilities:
*Create custom templates for print and web to be used for reporting and communing with supporters and partners
*Create collateral for special campaigns and events (including the opportunity to design packaging for our annual holiday giving campaign)
*Expand our presence on social media by creating compelling content
*Assist with maintaining brand image across online platforms
*Assist with website development and design

This is a great opportunity to be on the ground floor of a fast-paced, growing nonprofit organization. Our office is in Beespace, a co-working space for innovative start-up non-profits, so you will also be constantly learning about other inspiring ideas and interacting with a wonderful community of change-makers.

Though unpaid, this internship with a nationally recognized nonprofit will provide invaluable, practical design experience. Academic credit is possible.

Qualifications:

*Recent grad with or junior/senior working towards a B.A. degree in graphic design (or equivalent degree)
*Strong graphic design and typography skills with an eye for detail and craftsmanship
*Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator & Acrobat), Word, Excel & Powerpoint
*Experience with video production, HTML, CSS is a plus but not required

Because of the nature of this position and its importance within our organization, you must be highly organized, flexible and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will report to the CEO.
