Description:

The Programs Intern will assist with program development and implementation, and perform day-to-day tasks required to maintain and promote established programs.

Responsibilities will include:

Assisting tour guides with school groups and field trips
Researching and developing educational tools, props, and interactive displays
Assisting with program development, improvements and implementation
Scheduling of tours, tour guides and welcoming visitors
Outreach to local organizations, schools, summer camps, and businesses
Assisting with administrative work
Applicant must:

Be proficient in Word and Excel
Be available a minimum of 10 hours per week including some weekend hours
Commit to a minimum of 8 weeks
Have excellent writing and communication skills
Have knowledge or interest in learning about the plight of farmed animals/agribusiness and its impact
Be willing to learn about and engage with our animal residents
Be able to work collaboratively with other staff
