Salon Art Society -an exciting new non-profit art community made up of like-minded adventurers, intellects, and art aficionados who share their desire to indulge in creative experiences, viewpoints, and celebrate the curious mind and spirit -is currently accepting applications for SUMMER 2015 internships in our NYC office.

Interns will assist the co-founders with membership development, programming, and organization of events as well as all forms of communications and social media. This internship offers hands-on experience with the practicalities of developing a non-profit arts organization and focuses on organizing and implementing a wide range of art centric events including tours, talks, and performances.

Responsibilities include:
• management of new members
• event programming and organization
• marketing and invitation management
• membership and ambassador communications
• online communications and content coordination
• coordination with galleries, artists, museums, and auction houses

General internship length is semester-long with a commitment of 2 full days per week in Manhattan offices. Start/end dates and work hours are flexible and can be accommodated for the right candidates. This is an unpaid internship. School credit is available and will be crafted around any university requirements.

Qualifications:


Qualifications:
• All interns must be degree-seeking students OR recent graduates.
• NOTE: In order to gain the most out of the internship, sophomore year and onward is strongly preferred to apply.
• Successful applicants are not necessarily art history majors but have a passion for art and a strong

Requirements:
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Social media skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including superior written and spoken communication
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Strong follow-up skills with attention to detail
• Proficient in Photoshop, all social media, Wordpress, Constant Contact / Mail Chimp / Contact Managers, Microsoft Office (mainly Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
