What we are looking for:

The Blaq Group is looking for a highly motivated, very-driven, and passionate individual to head up our Social Media / Community Engagement initiatives. The company is currently going through a rebrand and refocusing efforts on its marketing, digital strategy, and community branding. This internship is an exciting opportunity for future event marketers and brand strategy directors who are looking to contribute to the growth of our company, learn about the experience-driven economy, and gain valuable experience in entertainment and hospitality.

Job Description
Duties will include assisting with the day-to-day management of our official accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Intern will also help track analytics, create a social media content calendar and strategize reader-engagement opportunities, and manage social media partnerships with other news organizations. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented with a strong interest in social media, pop culture, and current events.
• Collaborate with executive team to develop 2020 social media plan and strategy
• Direct/execute/manage social strategy that builds excitement and community around the venue, events, and offerings
• Brainstorm and provide new/fresh/fun creative ideas to implement
• Utilize contests, surveys, promotions, etc., to generate buzz and increase community engagement
• Curate a targeted list of potential social media influencer partners and execute an outreach campaign for potential partnerships
• Uncover creative partnership expansion opportunities through the company’s social pages
• Contribute to website redesign project
• Track business trends and spot opportunities to target potential client partners across a variety of industries based on consumer activity on social platforms
• Work with team to build monthly reporting tools and track key social media analytics on a monthly basis

Qualifications:

Qualifications
• 0-1 years of experience publishing to various social platforms for a brand or publication
• Experience with basic photo and video editing
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and collaborative skills with sharp attention to detail
• Enjoy being a self-motivated team player and a creative problem solver, with the ability to thrive working in a fast-paced and energetic environment
• An interest in marketing, communications, and/or social media
• An interest in festivals, experiential, brand activations, popups, and events
• Familiarity with key social media tools and Microsoft Office products
• The ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently as required
• Creative mindset and fun attitude, looking to join a growing team and make an immediate impact
• Interest in video editing and confidence working with Adobe Premiere and familiarity with Photoshop and After Effects a plus
