The Ohio State Fair is recruiting college students for paid visual communication internships.

As an Ohio State Fair intern, you’ll have the unique opportunity to preview the “real world” of visual communication and design in an exciting setting. Even though still a student, you will be treated as a professional and will be assigned projects that are both important and relevant to your future career.

The internships are designed to enhance your formal education with great on-the-job training. You’ll gain immediate, substantive opportunities with assignments creating designs for signage, brochures, advertisements (print and web-based), newsletters, digital media and video.

From project management to collaboration with internal and external marketing and public relations staff, you’ll receive an invaluable amount of professional experience and generate a wealth of portfolio material … all while having fun!

Qualifications:

Qualifications: Students who are studying design will be first considered. Successful candidates will respect deadlines, be detail-oriented, conscientious and know how to follow through. Work will be completed as a team as well as individually in a fast-paced, fun atmosphere.

Candidates with three years of college education in design are best qualified for these positions. Proficiency in HTML and the Adobe Creative Suite family of software (with an emphasis on Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier and InDesign) is required.
