The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter, is seeking an enthusiastic individual to provide marketing and IT support, in order to increase awareness for LLS and assist our fundraising campaigns. This is a great opportunity to experience working in a nonprofit environment while enhancing marketing skills. The intern will assist with social media; web design and content; promotional materials; and marketing strategies. It is an ideal opportunity to develop and enhance skills while assisting the largest voluntary health organization dedicated to blood cancers.Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain ongoing communication with campaign prospects, participants and alumni
Assist in monitoring and maintaining chapter Web sites for consistency, accuracy and overall effectiveness
Develop Facebook page and assist with other social media
Assist in generating and executing grassroots marketing initiatives
Assist in the creation and distribution of an electronic newsletter
Assist in the creation and distribution of press lists and press releases
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Computer literate (Word, Excel & PowerPoint as well as familiarity with new media Web sites)
Experience with developing and maintaining websites and e-communications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects
Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
Professional demeanor
Willingness to learn and work independently
