Description:

As a Man & Woman of the Year Intern, you will gain experience with the many facets of event planning, relationship building, fundraising, auction management, and executing non-profit special events. Intern(s) will be responsible for assisting with candidate recruitment, event logistics, and overall support of Man & Woman of the Year and related events in the Philadelphia market of the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter.

Qualifications:

Administers select on-going programs and/or special projects (e.g. sponsorship recruitment, corporate/foundation prospect identification and cultivation, prize distribution, event press releases, event logistics coordination, etc.)
Provides administrative, and clerical support for the Man and Woman of the Year campaign.
Assist with event logistics and planning for the Grand Finale.
Maintains program and event records, files, and databases.
Prepares event related correspondence and reports.
Maintains a working knowledge of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s mission and its programs to address them.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Excellent word processing and database management skills.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Proficient in English, spelling, punctuation and grammar.
Proficient in basic accounting and bookkeeping skills.
Detail-oriented and highly organized.
Knowledge of standard business machines and computers.
Professional maturity and judgment.

Hours:

Monday – Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm – flexible option
