Spring Light The Night Intern

Principle Function:The LTN Intern is responsible for providing a standard of excellent service whether for internal staff or external teams. They are to provide assistance and administrative support and day-to-day operations of the Light The Night® Campaign. The LTN Intern reports to Campaign Managers and/or Event Coordinator for the LTN Campaign to accomplish assigned duties and responsibilities.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assist, as assigned with LTN Fundraising Teams, Sponsorships, etc…
• Assist with the preparation of fundraising materials for events assigned.
• Assist with donation entries in Campaign 360.
Other
• Assist, as assigned, in the development and implementation of other chapter activities. Maintain a working knowledge of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society® mission and its programs to address them;
• Perform other functions and activities as directed by the LTN Campaign Director and MWOY Campaign Manager.Responsibilities may vary depending upon the goals, skills, and interests of each intern, as well as the stages of planning for seasonal events.

Hours: Must be willing to work a minimum of 20 hours a week

Each fall, teams of friends, families, and coworkers gather in cities across North America. They walk in twilight holding illuminated balloons- white for survivors, red for supporters, and gold in memory of a loved one lost to blood cancer. The evening includes music, food, and family-friendly activities.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the worlds largest private organization. LLS’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkins disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program with junior level status or higher.
• Graduate of College with Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, Event Planning or related degree.
• Previous experience with non-profit a plus but not mandatory.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Publisher).
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally.
• Able to simultaneously manage a high level of detail across multiple projects.
• Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure.
• Able to work well within a team environment, offering assistance and support to team members whenever necessary.
• Able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Must be able to come to the office 3 days a week
