Description:
SpaPops seeks a bright, motivated, and creative college student or recent graduate for hands-on online development. Responsibility for all aspects of our companys online presence - from web development and design through contributing content and fostering our companys brand.�As a student intern, you will be relied upon as a professional web developer, performing page creation, ongoing maintenance, and high profile edits for an artisanal healthy ice pops start-up company�s website, bog, and social media program. Create the framework for easy (non-techy) ongoing maintenance.
This internship offers a flexible schedule with an 8-hour a week minimum commitment commencing as soon as possible until the end of February 2013 at a minimum. Work can be performed remotely. We are happy to work with academic requirements as well to help you earn college credit.
Qualifications:
Experience with hand-coding websites, newsletter creation and delivery, web metrics tracking, online sales tools.
Must have experience with web programming languages (XHTML/HTML/CSS, PHP, SQL, AJAX, JavaScript). Java programming experience required.
SEO/SEM knowledge and CMS experience necessary.
Creativity in design and accessible user interfaces experience with developing database-driven sites is preferred.
Experience with bit-map and/or vector editing tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
Excellent organizational & multi-tasking skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter with eagerness to consistently exceed objectives and assume more responsibilities.
Must have completed or be currently enrolled in a college seeking a Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent. Must be US citizen. We are not accepting applications from non-US residents.
