Internship Description
The Leukemia and Lymphomas Society® (LLS)
Marketing/Public Relations
Primary Duties Will Include:
• Provide one-on-one support to Marketing Manager
• Assist in the writing of press releases, media alerts, and calendar listings
• Assist in the press and media coverage at special events
• Assist with various administrative duties as needed

Responsibilities may vary depending upon the goals, skills, and interests of each intern, as well as the stages of planning for seasonal events. In the event that there are current internship openings within other LLS fundraising campaigns, we will make you aware of them as well.
Available Opportunities in our Conshohocken:
Summer Internship: May-August (dates negotiable)
Hours: Must be willing to work a minimum of 20 hours a week

About Light The Night® and LLS
Light The Night® is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Societys signature fundraising Walk event that pays tribute to lives touched by blood cancers. Each fall, teams of friends, families, and coworkers gather in cities across North America. They walk in twilight holding illuminated balloons- white for survivors, red for supporters, and gold in memory of a loved one lost to blood cancer. The evening includes music, food, and family-friendly activities. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the worlds largest private organization. LLS’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkins disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:
• Superior writing and communication skills
• Must be well organized, flexible and poised under pressure
• Ability to multi-task
• Interest in nonprofit management and event planning a plus
