Sweetwater Center for the Arts seeks an Event Planning/Exhibition intern for the spring. Internship will begin in ASAP and end in May. Qualified interns must have a background in event planning, interior design, marketing or arts administration and possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, as well as an ability to work independently, creatively and efficiently.


A knowledge of or prior experience in the arts is preferred, and strong computer skills in word processing, design and web software are encouraged. Responsibilities will include assisting the Artistic Director with planning, set up, cleanup and other tasks during events and gallery exhibitions, hanging exhibitions, preparing materials for events and exhibitions, assisting with marketing for all events at Sweetwater and conducting market research. Interns may be required to assist with various administrative tasks as well.

Selected intern is expected to work 15-20 hours per week; schedule is flexible and can include daytime, evening or weekend hours. Interns will receive a stipend for events.
