Description:
Foreign Policy offers individuals with interest in print and web graphic design the opportunity to learn about and participate in the design and production of both the
bimonthly print publication and the daily updated web site, ForeignPolicy.com. During this internship, tasks may include assisting with photo research as well as on the design of basic magazine layouts, house ads, promotional pieces, graphics for print and web, web advertisements, and event collateral. Interns will spend 3-4
months working in our office in Washington, DC. Twenty hours a week is preferred, and a flexible schedule can be arranged. Internships are unpaid.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be organized, self-motivated, independent and efficient. Design work will be completed predominately in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, so experience with these programs is required. A good eye for photography and an interest in international affairs is a plus. Flexibility regarding work schedule
during publication deadlines is appreciated.
