Description:
Duties: Provide legal advice and services on issues concerning the rights, obligations and privileges of Medicaid managed care organizations. Effectively interact with management and employees of these organizations. Provide advice, training and legal direction on a myriad of healthcare law matters. This includes managed-care contracting, privacy, regulatory compliance, health care fraud and abuse laws, and other laws impacting the organization. Protect the organizations rights in contract negotiations, settlements and litigation. Provides a full range of legal advice and services and may specialize in one of more areas such as mergers and acquisitions, commercial law, contracts law, benefit law, securities, anti-trust investigations, tax law, regulatory and compliance. Qualification and Experience Requirements: A J.D. degree is required; 5+ years of professional legal experience. Previous experience working in healthcare/managed care industry with focus on counseling HMO organizations. Experience with Medicaid and/or Medicare preferred.
