JOB DESCRIPTION: General Manager

Overview of the Position:

The job of the One-Love Soccer Program General Manager includes development of the volunteer, staff and board infrastructure, creating long term sustainability, and overseeing design and delivery of programs.

The General Manager of One-Love Soccer Program (OLS) will report to the President of One-Love Soccer Program. Guidance and oversight will be provided by the OLS President.

The individual hired for this position must be extremely organized, sociable, and have a solid understanding of soccer and the operations surrounding it. A background in business development or prior soccer club experience is preferred.

Day-to-Day Functions of the General Manager Include:
Provide leadership to One-Love Soccer Program Staff
Provide direction toward the achievement of OLS philosophy, mission, vision, and annual goals and objectives
Provide advice and assistance to OLS as a whole, the Director of Coaching(DOC), the President, staff, and volunteers
Administer the total operations of OLS
Provide conflict resolution on all OLS matters and report back to the OLS President
Employ directors, administrators, and any other staff in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations and pursuant to policies
Supervise employees and if necessary, terminate employees
Performing such responsibilities and having such powers as may be provided in the president-approved job description, or as may otherwise be provided by the President of the organization.

Qualifications:

The individual hired for this position must be extremely organized, sociable, and have a solid understanding of soccer and the operations surrounding it. A background in business development or prior soccer club experience is preferred.

The OLS General Manager will be communicating in both English, German, and Spanish, thus applicants who speak, write, and read fluently in English, German, and Spanish are preferred.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Must be able to pass a state and national background check
USSF E or D License preferred
USSF National Youth License preferred
Preferred Skills:
Must have a valid drivers license and operable vehicle
Must be able to type 50+ words per minute
Use of Microsoft Office is required
Use of database management software preferred
Customer service oriented
Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills
Excellent written grammar and punctuation
Well-spoken with strong public speaking skills
Detail oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
Extremely organized
Ability to problem solve quickly and effectively, and remain flexible in high stress situations
Ability to multitask and meet changing deadlines
Must be self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision
Excellent time management skills

8am-4pm Monday-Friday 9am-6pm on Saturday
