We have a technical engineering internship available in the Nashville, TN area. This position’s primary responsibilities are: Support our “stage gate” or product development into the marketplace and state by state qualifications. This is a summer internship starting in May, ending in August.
Qualifications:
RESPONSIBILITIES: (List day to day activities, reports, directs etc…)
• Contact all 50 states and determine the procedure and filings necessary to get the products on the Qualified Products List (QPL)
• Start the QPL process on the top 10 target states, then move to the second 10 states
• Assist collecting turbidity samples, pictures, and data from all our “Voice of Customer” (VOC) sites for stage gate and technical backing for marketing claims. Often, samples will be taken outdoors during inclement weather. This will require local travel, mileage will be reimbursed.
• Assist with builds at new VOC sites
• Assist engineers with various other tasks as assigned
• Regular/predictable attendance required. Typical schedule of 8am – 5pm, Monday through FridayCORE CAPABILITIES/REQUIREMENTS: (Skills you need to fulfill your responsibilities, including education and experience)
• Civil or Environmental Engineering Student; Senior preferred, Junior acceptable. No freshman or sophomores.
• Erosion Control classes/experience preferred
• If a student is interested in achieving their “Professional Engineer” license, hours worked will go towards required apprenticeship.
• Fluency with Microsoft Office required. AutoCad Experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills and proactive attitude required.
• Ability to work independently
• Good organization skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum travel, local only
• Strongly prefer local candidates which will not require housing
Paid Internship Info:
$15-$17/hour DOE
Hours:
8am - 5pm, Monday through Friday
