As part of the Marketing / Promotions department, the internship will provide intern with hands on marketing, brand promotion and digital brand marketing experience. As well, the intern will be involved in support benchmark station events and being involved in station on site activities as part of their weekly schedule.

Nature of Internship:Write a promotional proposal including advertising elementsUnderstand marketing tools available to station clienteleUtilize media values to calculate earned media value for third partiesUpdate website with current accurate copy detailsRepresent stations at special eventsInteract with media outlets to achieve press coverageWrite a factual press releaseCreate a client recap presentationObserve station promotion/sales meetingWrite commercial copySpecial event planning Interact with industry representatives through face to face meetings, phone interactionOrganize promotional goods and merchandise On line calendar updates Internet research for advertising/campaign conceptsSchedule advertising campaignsPhotograph station events for documentingContribute creative ideas for promotion campaignsPublic relations at various levels including internal communicationsObservation opportunities: in-studio and various departments (gaining insight and understanding on how departments function as a whole).Contribute creative ideasSupport social networking effort: Updating Twitter & FacebookAct as an active participant of the Marketing teamOther promotional duties as assigned by Promotions Directors

Qualifications:

Internship is unpaid and student must be enrolled in a credit based program through university program
Report directly to station assigned Promotions Director or Marketing Director
Work directly to support TBD designated radio station brands
Daily assignments and tasks will be delegated through Promotions Director or Marketing Director
Act as a professional representative of Clear Channel radio stations
Most work will be internal, intern may be schedule for supervised on site work with station events
Be punctual
Attire: Business Casual, appropriate professional attire
