Do you tweet and use Facebook every day, all day? Is building social community so ingrained you just can’t stop? Do you take pride in customer service excellence and fancy yourself an entrepreneur? Do you understand the importance of social media and how it is used as a connection resource?

We seek a highly a motivated individual with experience and fanatical passion for connecting with people using social networks. This position involves daily communication using our social networks to share information about our services. We except interns to be able to work for two hours a day, a total of ten hours a week. This internship is remote, so you may work straight from home or between classes.

Maintain Social Media Accounts

Social media interns monitor and improve our existing social media accounts. This may include posting articles, blogging, tweeting, updating profile information, responding to and monitoring comments or forum posts, and creating new content as well as researching relevant content to publish. An intern with knowledge of design programs may also update and customize the design profile of social media accounts. Managing social media accounts should be the top priority and a daily task of a social media intern.

Research and Analysis

Social media interns are tasked with tracking the success of social media initiatives and following competitor activity. This may include tracking likes, fans and comments on sites like Facebook, tracking followers and re-tweets on Twitter, monitoring links and mentions on blogs, and managing networking connections on sites like LinkedIn. The social media intern should also research competitor profiles and analyze how they are using social media marketing to help identify social media sites that may also be beneficial for the interns company.

Create and Customize

New social media outlets open on the web practically by the minute and popularity can shoot up in a matter of months. Our social media intern should always be on the lookout for a new social media platform that can reach the companys customer base and that integrates with the companys product or service. Our social media intern should create and customize profiles and pages on new and existing social media platforms.

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of a second language important but not required.
- Possess skills in writing, and presentation
- Polite, courteous, prompt, energetic
- Must have access to a computer
- Willing to learn
- Able to multitask
- Must be proactive
- Passion for social media, internet, and internet marketing
- Creative
