Description:

Assistant Magazine Editor with great writing and editing skills needed for growing online magazine. Ability to work from the comfort of your own home while learning the basics of online magazine publication: researching, writing, editing, layout and design, and promotion and publicity. 10-40 hours a week (depending on your schedule and
requirements if getting college credit).

Reporting directly to the President and Founder, this position includes tasks such as:

� Writing articles
� Recruiting, communicating with and organizing monthly contributors
� Magazine layout in Mac�s Keynote program
� Implementing magazine promotional program
� Supporting internet marketing and off-line marketing efforts

Qualifications:

The core requirements of this position are strong computer skills, the ability to juggle
multiple projects at once and strong writing skills.

In general these are skills we are looking for:

� Intermediate to advanced computer skills. You are computer-savvy and are comfortable picking up and learning new software. Mac software skills a plus, especially Keynote.
� Customer friendly � Good with people
� Very detail oriented. Strong tracking skills, managing both incoming and outgoing information
� Ability to manage multiple projects at once (good project management skills)
� Is a problem-solver
� Communicates clearly and consistently
� Strong follow-up skills
� Learns quickly. Takes instruction well
� Takes initiative and can work independently
� College-level writing and editing (proofreading) skills
� Strong business ethics � always on time, willing to help, willing to go above and beyond
