Description:

The Idea Grove is seeking a dynamic and team-oriented individual to join our inbound marketing team as an SEO/PPC intern. An ideal intern will be recently graduated or actively enrolled at a university, seeking a degree in communications, public relations, marketing or any other related program. Current students should have at least a junior standing.

Primary responsibilities: This individual will support the team in meeting established client goals, as well as providing assistance analyzing and delivering reports. Prior relevant experience is preferred.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Knowledge and ownership of key organic and paid search business performance metrics; traffic, page authority, conversion rates.
• Prepare recurring weekly and monthly reports, while constantly monitoring key metrics.
• Monitoring competitor’s sites for changes and possible improvements of their SEO score.
• Run SEO audits on pages and websites as needed.
• Optimize performance of keyword portfolios.
• Research and evaluate links through several channels
• Conduct competitive search marketing analysis

Qualifications:

Qualifications: Interns must have strong written and oral skills, strong organizational and project management skills, and the ability to serve as a team player.

Other skills should include:

• An interest in learning the advanced capabilities offered by top-tier SEO tools and web analytics packages.
• Experience with web analytics a plus (Google Analytics, Web Trends, Omniture).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Mac computer software
• Working knowledge of standard verbal and written communications practices
• Ability to follow directions and adhere to team processes to complete assigned tasks by agreed upon deadlines
• Works well with others, exchanges ideas and shares responsibility
