L&T Health and Fitness (L&T) is now accepting applications for Health/Fitness Interns Fall 2010. Founded and incorporated in 1984, L&T is a woman-owned business enterprise based in Falls Church, VA. L&T is dedicated to managing fitness and wellness programs for individuals and organizations across the country. Internship opportunities are available in Fitness Management Operations in over 40 fitness facilities the following states.

*Full-time Health Promotion opportunities are available for students at our headquarters in Falls Church, Va.

Qualified students participate in full-time and part-time internships year round. L&T’s internship program offers students an exciting opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a hands-on, practical health fitness environment. L&T interns receive training in the following areas:

Exercise Testing and Programming
Health Promotion
Health Screening
Health Coaching
Special Event Planning
Customer Service
Equipment Maintenance
Risk Management
Finance and Billing
Exercise Class Instruction

Qualifications:

Internship candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Enrollment in a health/fitness-related degree program
Current CPR , AED and First Aid certifications
Full and part-time positions are available*

* Stipends are available for qualified interns committing to an internship lasting at least 8 weeks.
