Description:

Serve as a activity leader and/or counselor helping individuals with developmental disabilities. Responsible for the daily programming of your activity area - sports and games, music and drama, nature, swimming, or arts and crafts - in teaching/working with individuals with developmental disabilites. For a paid internship you must live in camp from mid-June through mid-August attending 2 weeks of staff orientation and 6 weeks of camp. You will live with other counselors and your campers in a cabin helping the campers with their daily hygiene, dressing, mealtime and recreational skills. Some unpaid internships available with flexible hours. Fantastic experience!

Qualifications:

Experience working or volunteering (or having a relative) with individuals with developmental disabilities required.
Ability to pass local, criminal and national background screen.
Enrolled in a College or University

$1,500 - 2,500 for summer

24/7; some weekends off

Additional Info:
