Job Description

The EMS Group are looking for a highly motivated, driven and creative graduate for a Graphic Design position based in our Warrington offices. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to gain valuable experience within a well-established and expanding business.

The successful graduate will be involved in the design for print and web projects for the marketing of all of the companies within The EMS Group. The role will also include a heavy involvement in the website design process for customers, including liaising with customers, gathering requirements and designing high quality flat website designs. There will also be some involvement in the design of mobile phone App projects. The role consists of a good balance of graphic, print and web design, working across a range of brands. As a result the role’s day to day activities will be extremely varied.

Candidate must be self-motivated, creative and organised, preferably with a design related degree.

The role will mainly involve:

· Liaising with customers in a professional manner, advising them using your creative knowledge and the latest web standard.

· Responsible for creative flat designs for our GOLD package, Ultimate E-Commerce & Bespoke Custom website packages.

· Responsible for clients corporate branding projects including logo design, stationery design and more.

· Design of marketing materials for the company including flyers/leaflet, posters and web material e.g. banners.

· Maintenance of company website(s) (e.g. updating content and designing additional artwork)

· Assist with the design of additional websites and landing pages for desktop and mobile devices for the company.

· Design of Facebook Pages & Twitter Profiles.

· Assist with the design of Mobile Phone Apps

Successful applicants may be asked to complete a test design task in order for us to gain an understanding of your design abilities.

Person Requirements

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of/ Experience to include:

· A high level of working skills in Adobe Photoshop

· A high level of working skills in Adobe Illustrator

· Strong conceptual skills and the ability to design for print & web (including a good understanding of website layouts and design trends/techniques)

· Attention to detail & able to prioritise tasks

· Ability to meet tight deadlines

· A good understanding/working knowledge of UI design (User Interface) & User Experience / UX

Any knowledge of the following would also be extremely advantageous:

· HTML

· Drupal / Wordpress

· CSS

· Flash
