Summary of the Internship Programme
As part of its overall objectives “to increase inter-cultural dialogue and international understanding between Africa and other civilisations through dialogues, research and outreach”, the IACIU calls for applications from prospective Interns to gain practical work experience with the Institute at its office in Abeokuta Ogun State, Nigeria.
The mission of the Institute is to preserve Africa’s cultural heritage, promote and strengthen renaissance in African cultures both at the regional and international levels. The IACIU Internship Programme is a 1-6 month programme for undergraduates/graduates of culture and international relations/administration studies (as well other courses that are related to the subject) from higher institutions of learning in Africa and the world, designed to enmesh interns in the activities of the IACIU.

Objective
The main objective of the Internship programme is to assist in building the capacity of students (undergraduates and postgraduates) of culture and international understanding to comprehend the challenges and opportunities in the field of cultural diversity and expression; share knowledge about the cultures of different regions of the world and for the IACIU to begin to nurture a network of culture practitioners and persons through meaningful engagement and practical work.

Qualifications:

Applicants for the IACIU Internship Programme must be currently enrolled in a third or fourth year of under-graduate programme (BA/BSc.) or in a graduate (Masters) or post-graduate (Ph D) programme, and will continue to be enrolled during the period of the internship and after. (NB: applicants pursuing their studies in countries where higher education is not divided into undergraduate and graduate stages should have completed at least three years of university studies)

$200.00/per month plus housing

20 hours a week
