MADbudget is now accepting applications for TRAVEL WRITING INTERNSHIPS.

Featured in National Geographic and numerous other media outlets, MADbudget provides an ideal opportunity to break in to travel and guidebook writing.

Internships can be completed virtually, or in exceptional cases, at our Madrid office.

Responsibilities:

Serve as an editor for MADbudget, selecting, editing and publishing content
Take part in editorial meetings and trainings with fellow contributors and editors
Recruit new contributors
Establish partnerships with educational institutions, NGOs and other associations worldwide
Develop global marketing strategies

Qualifications:

Requirements:

Excellent writing skills
Familiarity with the city of Madrid
Passion for journalism and travel writing

Desirable skills:

Fluency in Spanish
Familiarity with WordPress
Previous travel writing experience, or work experience at a newspaper or news agency
Strong network of contacts in Madrid
Degree in journalism, communications, media, tourism or other relevant field
