About Our Company and the Opportunity:

A well-established online entrepreneurial business is looking for an Amazon Kindle book publishing and marketing intern to work remotely and help us launch specific market books prior to Dec 2012.

Last year, for the first time ever, Amazon sold more digital books (eBooks) then physical books. Our information publishing company is now poised to piggyback on this growth, and began publishing more of our information products on Amazon Kindle as a new sales channel.

Our company is an information publishing company that in the past has been focused on two main areas:

1. Broadcast Media (podcast and internet radio)
2. Online marketing and social media marketing

We are now expanded the growth of our information publishing company to specifically leverage Amazon kindle and eBooks.

Your Responsibilities As Our Amazon Kindle Publishing Intern:

As an intern helping our company grow into publishing books and digital content on Amazon’s Kindle Platform, here are some of the projects that you’ll be working, and a just of a few of things that you’ll learn during your internship:

- Editing pre-samples of books from established clients
- Editing specific book’s final manuscript
- Publishing to Kindle’s store to maximize exposure, and get on multiple bestseller lists
- Research within Amazon’s kindle store to get inside the mind of our readers, and give them exactly what they want
- Marketing of the book once complete using:
o Press releases
o Search Engine Optimization (getting on Page 1 of Google for our book buyers key search terms)
o Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, YouTube, Pinterest and more)
- Setting up a website and blog (using the open source blogging software Wordpress) to promote the book
- Building an email subscriber list from all of the associated properties above

Dont worry if you dont understand how to do everything listed above: training will be provided.

And youll probably end up doing other activities besides those listed as your job evolves. Sometimes you will need to research how to do something.

Summary:
This is a unique opportunity to work side by side with an entrepreneur who has launched multiple (successful) businesses and information products. Those looking to work in a “start up” environment or with an entrepreneurial mindset are the best fit.

We’re easy going about most things but we expect:

1. Honesty
2. Hard work - (doing your best)
3. Willingness to learn - (Ill put a lot on you to learn)
4. An email sent daily answering - (This is an ABSOLUTE MUST)
What you got done that day?
What challenges or obstacles you encountered?
What questions you have?
5. Communication. That is a big one, because this is a remote work arrangement. It includes the ability for us to call you if necessary, although 90% of our communication will be via email or IM.

Again, this is a remote work arrangement- there is no travel required for this position, unless you want to visit us in our offices (which is completely optional).
Finally, can you start immediately? The topic of the book for now is confidential, but its launch is directly tied to the Thanksgiving Holiday, meaning that the bulk of the work needs to be done early in the semester, and the holiday will provide us with a natural boost in sales throughout the months of October and November.

The actual topic of the book will be revealed during the first interview.

Thank you,
