Cross-Cultural Awareness Trainer (Intern)

Description:

InGlobed requires cross-cultural awareness trainer to develop and deliver short-term courses.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to delivering individual and group trainings.

Qualifications:

Junior Position: Completion of at least two years higher education preferably in education, intercultural communication or related field. Some education, training or coaching experience is preferred but not essential for this position.

Senior Position: Minimum four-year college degree or equivalent preferably in education, intercultural communication or related field. Post-Higher degrees or experience in teaching or training and cross-cultural studies are preferred. Applicants must have some experience of teaching or training, preferably in a cross cultural or international setting.

Preferred skills, knowledge and experience:

Junior Position:
Understanding of current training and coaching methods
Cultural sensitivity and acceptance
Very good communication skills (verbal and written)
Flexibility and tolerance
Unbiased and open-minded attitude
Good analytical abilities
High level of English
Patience
IT skills including Microsoft office

Senior Position (in addition to the above):
Experience or education in current training and coaching methods
Cross-cultural education or experience
Familiarity with Indian culture
Experience in the inter-cultural field including training and curriculum design and development Coaching, training or educator experience.
Exceptional presentation and written communication skills
Exceptional communication skills
Outstanding multi-tasking, organizational and management skills

Hours:

37.5h p/week

Length/Availability:

3-12 months (flexible start/finish times)

*Please note that flights, visa costs, insurance and travel costs associated with getting from the airport to InGlobed in Himachal Pradesh are not included.

Fees

InGlobed is self-sustaining organisation still its infancy, while we do not charge weekly or monthly fees to participate, we do ask our interns and volunteers to pay a one-off administration and legal fee prior to arrival. This fee helps the organisation to cover the costs of running an international internship and volunteer program, including local legal fees, facilities, staffing costs and recruitment. We do not make a profit from your fees nor do the fees pay for the academic programs that we offer. They simply cover the cost of hosting interns and volunteers.
