Company/Organization: Your Chic is Showing, LLC

Description:

YCS is seeking to fill one (1) unpaid Social Media Intern position. This position is open to high school students, college students, and individuals interested in gaining social media experience.

This internship is an unpaid position. However, we will happily support our SMI in garnering class credit for the internship. The SMI may use these projects and the results (successful or otherwise) as a part of their personal portfolio. Plus, the YCS team loves writing glowing letters of recommendations to potential colleges or future employers!

The YCS Social Media Intern (SMI) will be responsible for developing, implementing, modifying, tracking and reporting on YCS’ social media strategy. The YCS SMI will be expected to present creative and innovative ideas and programs to enhance YCS’ social media presence, marketing efforts and customer interactions on various social media platforms. Once the ideas/programs have been accepted it will be the responsibility of the SMI to implement, track and modify as necessary. The SMI will periodically report on the progress of the social media strategy against agreed upon targets and benchmarks. Additionally, the SMI may be required to write, edit or update posts for the blog and attend industry events, workshops, conferences and trade shows.

What our SMI Should Know: This position is limited only by how big you can dream (and maybe a little bit by how much that dream will cost)! This is the perfect opportunity to try something new, make mistakes, learn from the mistakes and do it better the next time. If uncertainty, creativity, and change excite you, then this is the position for you!

Qualifications:

This job requires approximately 4 – 10 hours per week and may include nights and weekends. We also request that our intern be available for contributing writers meetings as they are scheduled (approximately once bi-monthly). Candidates should have both a strong interest in and knowledge of the fashion and/or event planning industries.

Expectations: The SMI is expected to have experience with social media on a personal level, at a minimum. You must be able to think strategically and understand how social media fits into YCS’ overall strategy - beyond “selling” to our clients, but also building long-lasting relationships with existing clients, potential clients, partners, other bloggers, etc. The SMI should be able to assist in formulating social media plans and then carry them out with the assistance of the YCS team. You must be able to measure and document the impact of social media, and then suggest action-steps to increase impact. You must be willing to ask questions, speak up, get your hands dirty, buck the trends, go the extra mile, have a positive attitude, and, most importantly, have fun! As YCS grows, learns and changes, We hope the SMI will too!

In addition to the projects detailed above, the SMI will perform the following tasks:
• Create and update profiles and pages (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, etc.)
• Upload videos, photo albums, etc.
• Find users to follow/friend/like our business
