The Kirk for Senate campaign is accepting applications for the internship program in its Lincoln Park Office in Chicago. There are other opportunities at offices around the state as well. We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team until Election Day, November 8th.

This campaign will be a great opportunity for motivated individuals to become familiar with the intricacies of a statewide political campaign, make strong connections, and be part of a larger movement in Illinois for a United States Senator. This race has been highlighted as one of the nations most competitive race, so this internship will be a great way to start in politics.
Each intern will participate in the political process and earn valuable hands-on experience. The primary duties of an intern will include voter outreach, constituent calls, knocking on doors, and attending attending events with Senator Kirk.
For those who go above and beyond the call, opportunities to work closely with the Fundraising, Communications, Event Organization, and Social Media management teams are available. Letters of recommendation from our senior staff will also be available at the end of the campaign.
There is a paid incentive program for interns who qualify. Otherwise interns can be a part of this program for campaign experience, or they can receive internship credit from your school’s program, if you provide the school’s requirements and any other pertinent information.
Hours are flexible and the payment program is based upon performance.
