Description:

As a brand new non-profit, we are looking for individuals to assist us in building our on-line presence and helping us deliver our message through various social media platforms. We are in need of help and manpower to make the most of the digital world. So, if you’re a technology-loving-social-media-obsessed-analytics ninja, Shule needs you!

Your responsibilities will be to assist the CEO with all things digital, including but not limited to:

-Helping to manage Shule’s online community in order to engage and grow our base of supporters, ambassadors and donors.
-Creating comprehensive campaign reports built on web and social analytics to help inform digital strategy.
-Researching the latest trends, strategies, best practices and insights in the world of nonprofit digital strategy, and help guide our digital strategy.
-Supporting creation of content for Shule’s social media platforms.
-Tracking and leveraging Shule’s celebrity relationships through social media.
-Gaining insights from social media metrics and reporting accordingly.
-Networking with other leading social organizations to cross promote and develop joint campaigns (e.g. re-tweeting partner updates, sharing Shule’s affiliate Facebook posts, etc.).
-Supporting development and execution of new online campaigns and initiatives.

Qualifications:

-An ambitious undergraduate or graduate student looking for hands-on experience in a fast-paced and always evolving field.
-You are creative, pro-active, and are always looking to put new ideas into practice.
-You have a deep knowledge of social media and are an active user of (if not obsessed with) social platforms.
-You are analytics-minded and may have experience with Facebook Insights, Google Analytics or other blogging analytics platforms.
-You have a strong interest in digital campaign management, writing, communications, education, children and Africa, and a desire to develop blog writing skills and reporter-like instincts.
-Your friends think of you as a trendsetter or early adopter – you’re always ahead of the curve and thinking of new ways to set the tone.
-Your attention to detail is awesome and you have stellar interpersonal and communications skills.
-You’re ready for a new adventure at any moment – every day poses new and exciting challenges for our start-up!
-Experience with website content management systems (CMS) or Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, are plus.
