Description:

The Traveling Jar is looking for freelance writers for a travel blogging site. Content should attract potential travelers for travel stories, images and reviews. We are located in New York City, but writers will be expected to communicate virtually from all over the globe.

Qualifications:

Your responsibilities:
- Proofreading electronic files, basic copyediting
-Develop content themes based on the direction and creative brief provided
-Write original, high-quality, SEO-friendly articles
-Publish written articles on travel.
- Contribute ideas on improving existing messaging and content
-Most articles will range from 500-1,000 words. Original pictures from your travel are a must for all stories

Requirements
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, public relations, English, business communications, or communication arts.
- Strong communication skills with keen attention to detail
- Knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Word
- Experience/interest in Web maintenance
- Travel/study abroad experience preferred
